A SEASON OF GRATITUDE

November's chill brings us together,
Through changing times and changing weather.
The harvest moon glows soft and bright,
As we gather close on this sacred night.

The table groans with bounty spread,
Golden turkey, warm-baked bread,
Cranberries gleaming ruby red,
Pumpkin pie and memories fed.

But more than food that fills our plates,
More than the feast for which we wait,
It's grateful hearts that celebrate
The blessings that accumulate.

For family near and those afar,
For who we've been and who we are,
For trials faced and battles won,
For setting moons and rising sun.

For children's laughter, pure and free,
For roots that ground our family tree,
For second chances, grace received,
For dreams we've dared and dreams achieved.

For hands to hold when times are tough,
For knowing love is quite enough,
For lessons learned through joy and pain,
For sunshine following the rain.

So as we bow our heads to pray,
On this blessed Thanksgiving Day,
We thank the heavens up above,
For life, for hope, for endless love.

And may we carry through the year,
This gratitude we hold so dear,
Remembering on each new day,
To live with thanks in every way.
